Ok so following on from my last thread, I need to replace my diff. It's current ratio is 2.82, I was thinking of replacing it with a diff from an s320 which would give it a ratio of 3.07. From what I've read, I would either:
need to swap my gearbox control unit with the gearbox control unit from an s320 so that it would cope with the change in ratio
Or get my current gearbox ecu remapped to cope.
Has anyone done this, can anyone say if one of these options will work?
The whole point of this is that it will be faster from 0-60 with the sacrifice of less top end (who needs to go 160mph+ anyway!)
