Different tread depths same axle??

May have a puncture in an unrepairable spot on one of the rears. Grumble.

Both tyres current have about 4mm left.

I just happen to have a part worn bridgestone with about 7mm left.

Will that sort of difference be detrimental to the rear diff do we think? Probably a difficult one to answer but worth an ask.
 
That’s what differentials are for.

A 3mm difference in rolling radius is just the equivalent of a passenger sitting in one side of the car surely.

Just to confirm the tyre you will be replacing is also a bridgestone? Remember only identical brands/tread patterns on the same axle.
 
1% difference in diameter shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I'll get it swapped over then!
