We treated a CLK cabriolet recently. It was such a clean car that it was very worthwhile giving it a covering of the hard wax Dinitrol. The aplication is quite straight forward.

Firstly we removed all 4 wheel arch liners. This gives us an opportunity to check behind the liners for any hidden nasties.

No rust was found at all. Just the usual dirt build up so we gave it a pressure wash with detergant.

It came up like new!

How much is this Olly ?

Then we dried off all the excess water. We also jacked the car up as high as possible and washed the underside. It is important that all the loose dirt is removed as best as you can. To dry just leave the car running for an hour.

Then we appiled the dinitrol.

The finish is excellent as you can see.

It depends on the car Howard. Its about £250 for the CLK. Dinitrol is very expensive. We go through about 10 500ml cans on an average car. We did a Navara recently and that used 15 cans.

Hi Olly

Can you get this is in clear instead of black?

Just needs the calipers painting in hammerite smooth silver....

What detergent did you use to wash that please?

I still stand by Waxoyl... Ive tried dinitrol several times and its never lasted as well as waxoyl.

I do all my cars every 2 years.
