Hey,

So just had my car 'dipped' and wanted to share with everyone. I have put a before picture up, and then a few of it now. Its not 100% finished, as I need to have it lowered and my boot lip spoiler done, but for now, I think it looks pretty slick.

If anyone is wondering, dip is like a wrap. It is sprayed on using numerous layers to get a nice finish. Once you are ready to remove it, it just peels off and leaves absolutely no damage to the car underneath. It looks insane!!!IMG_3849.jpg

I have been toying with the idea on my cls, but its not cheap, and if i dont like it :(

Compared to body shop spraying and conventional wrapping, it was much cheaper. For all the work it was only £350. It is great protection to the wheels and car, and looks immense. Great thing is, if I get sick of it, just peel it off!

A company here in Leeds does it, and they were brill. I would 100% recommend trying it. (Plus its addictive as well!!) Gonna do my wifes new SLK, but she doesn't know it yet :-)

Not sure there is anyone near me doing it, the company i found was in essex i think, thay only had matte colours too

Wait until drunk people realise that you can peel the finish off these cars while walking home ;)

Yeah, there are ways of having gloss, but I am a big fan of matt.

Howard, I will take that anyway over knocking off my wing mirror!!!:thumb:

That finish is Plastidip? Never seen white look good yet with Plastidip so fair play!

Who did it?

The white is not plastidip, only the black. The white is stock colour. Does look good though ;)
