I'd really like to have a manual dipstick on my 2005 C200 Kompressor W203. I visited my plocal MB dealer (Peterborough) and despite giving them the VIN and engine numbers they couldn't narrow it down to less than three parts listed. As far as I know it's a service part (presumably to check oil level when filling without needing to start and idle the engine) but any ideas on who can advise the correct part? I bought one on Ebay but it's not right - when filled correctly the oil only covers about 6mm of the tip. It's a guide but I'd like to have the correct part. Apologies if this has been covered.
