Hi All,

I'm travelling on a ferry tomorrow. The infopack given states that the alarm should be disabled. I assume this is so that if it gets choppy, all the alarms don't start going off!

Is there a way to either disable the alarm, or lock the car without activating the alarm.

It's a 2005 C220.

Thanks

As you said, lock the doors without the alarm, use the blade key insert.

Is there also a button that looks like a tow truck? - I thought it said in my manual (for a C209) that this disables the two-away alarm for things like ferries.

Good point, as it can only be the tow sensor that would trigger from the movement on a ship. The switch on mine shows two images of a car, the top shows a hook for the tow feature and the other is for the interior protection
