Got 2 old Mercs, a CLK320 and a s211 E320 so it's worth me investing in a specialist diag setup.

I already have an obd2 scanner and WIS/EPC set up but obviously that doesn't let me do a lot with the car itself.

I'd like to get something that I can use to disable the sbc pump on the 211 so I can at least work on my own brakes. And access other modules such as transmission to help with fluid change etc and generally diagnose any faults which crop up.

Can spend a hundred or three on a setup but not a grand. Please help, its a bit of a minefield and info is light on specifics, am I looking at an xentry pass thru set up? What hardware is required? I read a lot about a C4. I don't think the icarsoft mb2 is going to be enough but could be wrong.

Need a bit of guidance ideally. Tia.

Hi,
With that budget other than a hacked cheap Chinese Xentry/DAS Clone (even they could be to expensive) most people on here use the ICARSOFT MB V2, but do make sure you buy a genuine one as there are cheap copies/fakes of it which cant be updated and are of dubious provenance.

If you have any doubts at all about the provenance of an iCarsoft, just try to update it on their website. If it's not accepted by the website, return it.

OK thanks, going for the icarsoft MB v2!
