Hi All,

I have a (seemingly commonish) problem with my E250 2010.
Basically, it judders when pulling away in 1st. (Other gears OK)
For some time I couldnt decide whether it was me or the car or what!
Playing with the clutch/revs etc can alleviate the problem to a degree but a small shake is always present if I dont catch it right.

I has also now started to slip when accelerating hard - i.e. the revs increase disproportionately to the amount of peddle press - but it does seem to 'catch' and pick up.

So... the dreaded Dual Mass Flywheel that I keep reading about or clutch? or god forbid, both?
I'm also reading about the clutch master cylinder which could be at fault - or possibly - a previous problem with a DPF (what a genius piece of cr@p) causing an oil seal issue - causing a faulty DMF!

I'm no car expert but finding a decent garage that can diagnose & fix without random fault finding (and charging a FORTUNE) is a nightmare.

Any thoughts gents?

I am based in Norfolk , merc specialist, the can have issues with dual mass flywheel ,mathematics very expensive until they get released to the aftermarket, some are sing clutch, some are double clutch , about 3 hours labours to remove and install
