Do you know how to spot an Ex Rental MB???

The BT directory has lots of addresses in it - doesn't mean they're all going to get broken in to.

Lets see if anyone can find an MB Management car that doesn't have Mercedes adresses stored in the Comand.

Somehow I don't think there is going to be a deluge of replies..

I think ex-rental (hertz, avis etc) usually have no smoking signs or "diesel fuel" only stickers.
Also I thought with most rental cars, they screwed a little piece of plastic behind the accelerator so that the drivers couldn't hammer them. Or maybe thats just me being a bit cynical.

I don't see what the fuss is all about. Registration location information is readily available on t'Internet and when we buy a second-hand car the responsibility must surely be on us to carry out any history checks?

I have always been aware of the large numbers of Milton Keynes registered vehicles and never given it a second thought. Don't all or the majority of car manufacturers do it?

It has been common practice for some big businesses to register cars in an employee's name instead of Acme Hire Cars (fictious name) I would suggest that when parting with lots of money we take check out the vehicle, check out previous ownership and perhaps make sure we have a decent warranty.
