this is in the centre console of my 2010 E350 under the heating controls
does anyone know what it is for?
I can't find a line-in anywhere in the car - does this mean it doesn't have one?
It has the command ntg4 and bluetooth audio works but I can't see any mention on line-in or a connector

that makes sense as there is what seems to be an antenna connection
I thought these systems were supposed to have a media connection and various adapters that can fit them - anyone know where it should be?

It's not factory, so someone has added it !! (The reason for the Japanese question is that Japanese cars have some extra things that look a bit DIY)

If it is its a bluetooth adapter for cell phones, believe an old c class I had had one in the console, it came from the factory with it.

Could be but is not because Mercedes has never used that other kind of an UHI adapter.

If it were a Mercedes original part, it would have an MB part number printed on it. We should see the part number to know more about it.
