This maybe nothing but.....

I have the sequetronic box on mine which on balance I am happy with

yesterday I noticed that when it or I drp from second to first as I come to stop, so hardly moving, there is a distinct clunk.

Now, I don't recall this before ( but my memory these days) and am sat at heathrow about to go to Warsaw for three days so cannot look at it or garage it for a few days

I know this is a rare box on here, but does anybody have any experience that would suggest this is more than my imagination, driven by an itch to change the car now creeping in

Just had a b service, gear box oil changed and run fine in the 3 weeks since but I found this noise on the way home last night

await any thoughts

We get this same fault on the trucks at work its usually the clutch release arm of the clutch actuator, same technology just a bit bigger.

Or i suppose clutch could be worn out?

Then gets worse as you pull away from a roundabout it takes a while to decide what gear to select then bangs into gear and you lurch off right in front of a car who then thinks you cant drive:D.

Yours is only the 2nd one on here i have read about, last bloke also had probs with box but cant remember the outcome in that case.

67,000 miles on the box

I suspect its me 'looking' for reasons to swap the car out rather than there being an issue, but I have seem several threads on here over the last few years where posters were advised to get it checked out asap to save losing the box or other part, so as i had a few minutes this morning

Again, no issues since the service, so its probably me, will check it out again over the next week and maybe get it checked out.

BUT.. if anybody does have experience of just such a clunk from a sequetronic box, please do rsvp

My C320 which had the 7 speed gearbox failure started with a definate clunk and jerk on the down change to 1st. It did only happen the once, so hopefully not related.
