Hi I have a 2009 C250 2.1ltr CDI BLUEFFICIENCEY SPORT
I had a engine manigmant light on dash had a fault test done came up with P2453 which is dpf pressure sensor say a voltage was not right if I just change sensor would I have to have car put on a computer to say it's been done or just remove fault code and all will be well as it must be faulty as keeps going in to a limp mode once engine turned off normally go ok for few days then limp mode again engine manigmant light dose not all ways come on when limp mode happens

the fault should go , but the fault codes will remain . who scanned the car and with what ?

I have just replaced my sensor this afternoon and everything is fine now, no more limp mode. Merecedes have done their best to make what should be a simple job into a little earner for the Merc garage. Mine was P2354 which is low circuit which could be faulty sensor, blocked or leaking hoses or tubes. Took about 90 mins. Not that difficult once you figure out how to do it. If Mercedes had made the Hoses 6 inches longer it would be a 3 minute change out and a minute too wipe the fault code. Why make it easy when Mercedes dealers can charge you several hundred pounds ?

Thank you going to give it a go

I bought a scanner that you plug into a laptop £12.99 delivered, to read and wipe the faults from ( smart star)
Any Car universal OBD2 EOBD CAN BUS Fault Code PC Diagnostic Reader Scanner UK
on ebay. Just message them with car details and they will send you the link too buy that reads your car. Comes with a cd for the software. You have too unplug the brain and remove the airbox and it's rear bracket, then you can get at the sensor and the hose retainer so you can remove the hoses. I bought a Clic and Clic-R Hose Clamp Pliers from Amazon £4.99 delivered. It makes removing the hose clamps easy.
