So I came out of the house last week and found a puddle of oil on the drive. I managed to get it up on a ramp today and these are the pics from where the oil is leaking.

My brother-in-law is a mechanic and says it don't look like the oil cooler but couldn't be sure as he hasn't seen many of them leak.

The oil don't seem to be coming from high up in the engine, it seems to be bleeding out from the bottom of the housing, as indicated with the red highlighted area in the pic. It took about 45minutes of warming the car up to notice it start to leak again once it was cleaned up.

Just to add, the belly pan was full of oil.

Any feedback would be massively helpful as i'm on a knife-edge as of what to do with the car at the moment.

Its a 2009 E350 Cdi Coupe with 141k on the clock.

There an oil weep hole from the engine valley to just above the starter motor.
Oil loss from ruptured oil cooler seals dwell in the valley before running down the weep hole drilling and out onto the starter motor soaking the belly pans!
Then it runs out creating the Torrey Canyon effect, like my old 1956 Tiger 100 that pee'd oil but took me all over Iran/India /Pakistan & Ghan in the 1970's

The Torrey Canyon! I think I was about 9 when that happened and was the first oil spillage disaster I can recall. I wish it had been the last.

Sorry to hijack the thread and good luck with your problem.

Well if you neglect this oil cooler leakage condition you can "blow" the engine due to oil starvation, often ending up with a "leg out of the bed" ! aka Rod through the block!
So there is some analogy. In the case of the Torrey Canyon the RAF used it for target practice & blew it up!!
I was in my late teens when that happened!
