I have a problem on the W202 what both windows stopped working (they are close). The other side works fine.

Fuses seem OK and I cannot find what the problem is. I took to an Auto Electricals shop (Hall's in Swindon) and after they took the console out they deemed it to be the rocker switches (or rather the PCB is faulty).

Somehow I am not convinced and took it apart myself and it doesn't appear to be damaged (there are only two tracks on that PCB) and I have fixed/damaged a fair few PCB in my life to know when one is broken.

Anyone has any ideas what could it be? When I press the rear switch (on the console I hear a relay type clunk) but nada on the front switch.

The rocker switch on the rear door gives no signs of life.

Just a hunch but do a search for

'W202 electrical problem effecting windows and alarm'

Can't post a link to it on my phone

It is very likely to be one of the rear window motorsncausing your issue. They are control units too and when they fault they dish out spurious CAN signals. Disconnect them one at a time and see what happens.

Yeah most likely. Happened to my car and what my earlier post relates to
