Just stupid. There is a limit as to how how fast is safe. It's less about how fast you can go and more about how you can react if someone else acts unpredictably.

I'm trying to be careful as it would be very easy to be hypocritical following my thoughts on another thread recently.

Steve...pot, kettle, black...

I've never been as manic as that.

I do admire fast driving, but I felt sqeamish watching them run the redlights.

Good but this is still the greatest street vid

erm that was too quick for me
the supra was twitchy as hell, probably didnt know the road!
...a combination of clever and wreckless

That reminds me of myself......

.........when I'm playing Need for Speed Underground!!

Some good skills there, looks like fun :)

Reminds me of C'était un Rendezvous, which even has a MB connection to keep it on topic. (edit: beaten to it by whitenemesis)

Not big or clever, and luckily wreckless as well as reckless. Only through luck though - the potential for collateral damage is high.

What car is in the Rendezvous Vid? Sounds like an old Ferrari?

It was the recording of a Ferrari...but I think it was a Merc.

Edit: It was a 450sel 6.9, with the sound of a 275 GTB dubbed on to it.

Couldn't do that in a new Merc.

It would either breakdown due to an engine fault, or the springs would snap.

I think the body work would make the 8 minutes, just with minor deterioration.

Regardless of whether the films are staged and how good the drivers/lookouts are, films like this are dangerous in that your common garden chav will think that he can pull off the same thing, regardless of what warning text is flashed up at the start of the film.

We should all buy 221's just in case they do....

On second thoughts, that might not be the best idea....:ban:

I'm sure both are great drivers, however, would you trust EVERY other driver to take into account your position and undertakes?

It's only a matter of time till they bin it, and even then I bet they willl blame the other driver.
