Searched and nothing bad? just advise on parts members have bought from them?

I've used them a few times for servicing and parts and they've been fine with me. Their place is an **** to get to though in the winter. Down the bottom of a V V steep hill!

Have you tried SPR Autos in Stockport?

For parts they are way overpriced.
One member paid the same price for s/h rear lights as they are new from the dealer.

I bought an exhaust manifold from Dronsfields that was £1100+VAT new for £95 (can't remember if that included VAT or not). Very satisfied with that.

The only other breakers wanted around £250 for this part at the time.

Seems like you can get lucky :)

yep - wont be going back.

what happened? I was planning to use them but decided to let my regular mechanic loose the car instead.

I used them once for a few things for my old R107 350SL. They sent a rusty bootlid for an SLC that was supposed to be a non rusty SL bootlid and a cracked indicator lens that was supposed to be perfect. They then wouldn't take the items back.

My experiance may have been a bad day but hey.

servicing is about 10 quid cheap than the dealer.........but you waste 10 quid in petrol trying to get out of the place

Dronsfields are ok for parts, I can't comment on servicing.

I should add that I have never actually bought any parts off them but I have looked at some bits and pieces for forum members.

I'll tell you how great they are though, a skip burst into flames near the entrance to the parts section and they had no idea what to do with it. You know what I did? I moved my car, it was only a few metres away from it!

are there any other merc specialist's in the manchester area????

thay wanted £35+vat for a used steering angle sensor for a 202mdl 2000yr c/class, mb new £48, a customer took a 124 for a bad starting problem, fault was lombde sensor, took 8 hours and £300+ yr pays yr money etc etc,..

It does seem breakers in general are very expensive.
I bought a complete set of lights for my BMW
for £10 off Ebay.Fritzbits wanted £50 for one rear lamp alone.
