Duo valve

Hello peoples, happy new year and all that.

Having a problem with the heaters in the car, and from what i've read it seems that it might be the duo valve, but i have a couple of questions.

1. Do all cars come with the duo valve, or only ones with air con/CC?

2. Where can i find it under the bonnet?

If its a RHD car its just in front of the brake servo/master cylinder. This is from a later model but position is similar. http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/howto/26888-howto-clean-duovalve-w210.html

In a LHD drive car of course the single valve or duovalve will be in front of the battery.

all w124 got them, yes they can stuck sometimes, then you will experience problems like too hot or too cold inside a car. also it could be faulty temperature dials on dash.
