Dynamic Seats

Hi Guys.

I have dynamic seats in my w211 E270 but they do not work at all, not even the bolster let alone the pulse feature, Has anyone ever had the same issue? is it worth fixing?

Oh and I have already checked the fuse

I couldn't see anything on the forum about these seats.

I personally say if its broke fix it within reason.

They are a bit gimicky but some may say useful.

Worth finding out whats happened. If both sides have failed to work, chances are it due to a central issue loke relay or module.

First port of call after basic home checks and a quick read of the manual in case its swutched off via a settling is an obd code reader but dont go to a dealer for this, just a local indie.

Post reports up here and someone should help more.

It could be the pump that has failed, (which is located in the boot)

Seems like a common failure esp if the check valve fails on the air reservoir fails, the pump can overheat and melt the pump housing causing leak, which leads to the the system shutting down the dynamic seat function (or inflation,pulse etc)

STAR diagnosis can help pinpoint to problem. Could be a pipe has become disconnected somewhere, possibly where it enters the seat, causing the system to shut down.

I have dynamic comfort seats and wouldn't be without them now I've experienced them!

I've had an issue with my dynamic seats....it seems like it has a mind of its own. The setting is perfect. Pulse and dynamic off but then on occasion whilst driving the lower lumber pumps up by itself for no reason. I try to get it to go back to the original setting....sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Its annoying to say the least!!

I have these seats also passenger all works fine but drivers side will only adjust the lumbar.
They don't pulse neither will it pump air in the bolsters so dynamic mode is out although I think mines electrical as the Lights don't turn on when pressed
