E class convertable w207 front seat Release handle

I was wondering if any one else has had this problem Both of my front seat release handles have broken within a couple weeks of each other
I have seen many comments about the chrome peeling off but none about handle breaking I am not heavy handed at all I just think it’s a poor quality fitting I didn’t know if it’s a known problem

They're around £200 each!!! Ive been looking for a drivers side one for my convertible. Cheaper to buy two used seats.

That’s a good idea I will have a look at that option I am just surprised they break
