E Class Coupe...AMG??

I know this has been officially confirmed as NOT happening but does anyone know if there is a glimmer of hope of an AMG E Coupe coming out in the next year or so?

I absolutely love the E Coupe shape but also love the AMG bit's of my C63 (specifically, the engine and performance). I just want a combo of the two!

I read somewhere that there will be an AMG E class coupe but it will be badged as a black series car.
MB think the E class coupe AMG will be too similar to the CLS AMG hence they are not making one.

I can't understand why, the coupe's got half the doors for starters.

Theres the BMW M6 so I thought a halo coupe would of been a definite.

The E Class Coupe is a big car, much bigger than the BMW E92 size, unless it is an optical illusion. I have driven an E Coupe and it felt like a big car compared with my old E92 335d. Fantastic drive, and I could be sorely tempted in the future.

I dont know, the BMW range isn't directly comparable, but the M6 shares the M5's engine drive train etc and although the 6 series is more its more expensive than a 5 its hardly CL money.

They seem to make an AMG version of every other model (excluding A and B class) so it seems funny not to do a coupe especially as there was the CLK AMG models.

Better than the e92 do you reckon? Would you have a E350 CDi over a 335d?

I really like the car but can't bring myself to have the E500.....I'd miss the performance too much.

if u drive emm both the m6 is very much under whelming compared to a CL the clk63 is more matched to the m6 i very much think the cl in a league of its own

Im sure there will be one but they never launch these things so early on into a new shape.

Give it a couple of years and the E63 AMG coupe will be there!

I read an interview a while back (in Autocar magazine I think) with someone from AMG, who suggested this was being investigated. Seems BMW are going the same way too.
