E class mirror memory

Hi, I have a E320 S211 and am having a problem with the nearside mirror. for some reason the memory does not work, works ok on offside. Also the reverse tilt not working, have checked all the setings but no joy, any ideas?

The nearside mirror won't be included in the memory function.

I too have the same problem with my reverse tilt function, I have tried reading the manual and following the instructions with no luck. In the end, I have turned the fuction off and learned to live without it.

I think the tilt function is at best hit and miss. On our SLK it works but then does not return the mirror when in drive. On the CLK it works but not return fully back to its normal position. Having said that they sometimes work perfectly. Long since given up worrying about it.

Bit dissapointing, worked fine on my old S210. Thinking about it, i only have memory on the drivers seat, could that be why? Still even without the reverse tilt, you would think the normal memory funtion would work on both mirrors.

On mine the tilt function only works if the passenger side mirror button on the drivers door is pressed.

Yes try'd that. To be honest i can live without the tilt but could do with the normal mirror memory working>

Maybe disconnecting the battery for a bit might reset the gremlins back to normal.

Could give that a go, but as would reset everything is there a procedure to go through after disconecting?

I'm not 100% sure as I have never tried it myself.
