E200 Estate Boot Lid

Where is the switch in the boot lid of an E200 estate which tells the car it is open and activiates the interior lights? They are all pretty apparent on the doors but I can not find the boot lid one.

assuming its a w124 we are talking about?

If I have it right the W124 is the earlier one mine is a 2000 first of the new slightly startled appearing model! I think that is the W210?

If it is in the lock mechanism that presumably means no user seviceable parts inside????

if yours is 2000 model then its W210 - if it has the indicators in the mirrors then its facelift, otherwise its pre-facelift

I am starting to get the hang of all of these W numbers. Though now of course I realise my one is going to instantly turn into a small pile of iron oxide next time it rains. I must stop reading these things!
