E270 Cdi Cd Changer

Hi guys, on my 2004 E270 CDI Avantgarde I would like to get a cd changer fitted in the auto slide up thing near the ash-tray, my E220 CDI has one (2003) but this one doesnt, the automatic mechanism and everything is there, but when it opens there is only a storage box, could someone give me a price of what I may be looking at paying and how easy or not it is to fit?

Had this fitted to my 2003 E270 by MB dealer when I bought it new (ex-demo). So it is possible !

They did it as part of the deal but I think the CD was £400 ish and fitting was £200 ish?

Anything is possible. I suppose you could do some research, find out the cost of the parts and try to get someone to fit it or......

Is your car fitted with the European COMAND? If so it should play a DVD full of Mp3's. This equates to far more music than the equivalent number you would put onto CD's in a CD changer.

Is it worth going down the route of fitting a COMAND system instead of a CD changer?

Not keen on the ipod kit, got it in one of my C class'z, would rather prolly go for a command unit now then if its £400 and £200 labour...
