e280 exhaust problem.

i need some advise. i have 1998 e280 v6 elegance. i need the two rear boxes but cant find them anywhere unless i have them made, which is very very very expensive. i was wondering if anyone had any solutions to this problem. the rear box is ok its the middle one thats pooped. i have tried to bypass it with little sucsess. does the 1997 exhaust fit although it is only a single pipe from the middle to rear box???
