*body work*
In 2008 the car went to bodywork Solihull to undergo a lot of body work under the 8 year anti corrosion warranty (caught it just in time) below is a list of what was replaced.
New front wings (both)
New bonnet
New bonnet star
New drivers door complete
New passenger front door skin
New rear arches (both)
New boot lid and badges
Including a full respray bar the roof and plastics
This in total cost mb £6300 inc vat (thanks Mercedes)
There is a small amount of bubbling on the very lower corner of the rear doors it is under the paint and beginning to show.
The car has been truly excellent to both own and drive during the past 7 years returning up to 36mpg on a run to Sunderland, it has always started on the button and never let me down, it has recently passed the mot with flying colours with no advisors,
The milage, it's quite high.... 199478 to be exact, personally this has never bothered me as I'm aware of the capability of this engine and if well looked after it would do this again, looking at the car and also driving you would think its done half that.
In my ownership it had the following
Various services (in the book)
Gearbox service
Radiator
Radiator pipes
Battery
New key
Bottom ball joints
Front anti roll bar links
Rear pads
Secondary car delete (due to breakng up) cut open gutted and welded back together.
The car had its mot and was then taxed just over 3 months ago as I'd sold it to one of my customers, he then had to have a operation which meant he was out of action for 3 months, he said please hold on to the car for me until i recover, since then he has ignored my calls (I'm not happy) so it has sat here wasting tax and mot!
Bad points?
V.slight whistle from heater motor on low settings
Top of year door panels scuffed by previous owner
Air con doesn't work
Not much else really
I'm based in Birmingham, and I'm after £1695ovno
Thanks scott
