E55 Starting Problems.........

Hi Guys

I am having trouble with starting my W210 E55 AMG. She turns over fine, but will not fire up.

I thought that it was the new key the first two times, which was ordered and programmed by Mercedes, but the third time was this evening....and it was with the second key.​

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on...... Help Please......

Start with the crank sensor. It can't be the key otherwise it wouldn't even release the steering lock.

I agree with Dieselman, it does not sound like a key problem, because the car accepts the key and cranks the engine.

Try and get the car hooked up on a machine. Get the codes read.

Always check the basic stuff first.

Are you sure there is fuel in the car and it not a dodgy guage.

Any spark coming to the spark plugs?

Hi mate

I am fine but the young lady is poorly..... I tried her first thing this morning and she started as normal with on probem.

I know it is not low feul as i topped her up yesterday evening........

She is having a new set of brake pads fitted front and rear, by MB Specialist so they will hook her up and get the codes to see whats what.

I will let let you know the result later this afternoon.
