Not quite in the same league, there is this 2002 E500 for £9,950

True. Though I did wonder whether the E500 Avantgarde spec is the same as a E220 CDi Avantgarde for example and if the dealer had missed a few options off his description. The low mileage and price appealed to me.

If similar age E Class is anything like the same age CLK then most of the toys (xenons, COMAND, TV, sunroof, 6CD etc) are options.

The Avantgarde W211 E-class had Xenons as standard, and also think that partial electric seats were standard and may be the CD changer in the centre console.
