e55k 54 plate

Convenient placement of the paperwork on the driver's seat? Wonder what horror that's hiding...

Well i emailed them asking about Service history, and condition and got this reply

Hi!

As the car is priced £3,000 under Retail, I would suggest that this isn't the car for you.

Please feel free to visit us and inspect the car yourself.

Kind regards

At least there honest i suppose lol

Looks unloved. Wear on the drivers seat bolster and needs a service badly amongst other things. Pass.

Is £12k really the retail price for a 2004 54 reg?

I read somewhere today which really tickled me,

The difference between Style and Fashion is Quality, And thats where imo Mb is Compared with Jaguar.

I went in my Sisters new Xj and found the switch gear very Plastically and leather looked more like vinyl. Also quite a few exposed screw heads where as i find Mb tend to hide them, Just little touches like that.

But i am biased lol

I don't get a good vibe about that one Gav...

Maybe a Jag S Type R would be better.

I really disappointed an owner of an 04 plate one of those once.

I suspect he was fully expecting his sleeper was faster than mine.

I would say definitely nsf damage... Look at those parking sensors and headlight lol.

Not sure about that rather large gap in the most recent service history.

£7k tops.

I wonder sometimes whether a lot of dealers contract-out their blurbs to the same idiot, who never reads them. Yet another car with 16 in. alloys and a radio/cassette...

Competitively priced for a dealer, but since they basically replied to your e-mail enquiry by telling you to p**s off, I'd do exactly that.

What planet are some dealers on, obviously happy to wait for some impatient numpty with big pockets to turn up.

I think that's a fair enough reply. If a proper enthusiast asking the right questions is looking at a sub-standard car, and the seller recognises this, it saves everyone's time. Whether or not the car is priced correctly is then no longer an issue, as you probably wouldn't want it at any price anyway.

Someone else on a budget may not see beyond the fact that it's an E55!

Got to agree, at least they didn't tell you it's mint like so many sellers and then when you turn up find out it's a dog!

Just the observations on here indicate it's had a hard life but as said above, someone may just jump at the chance to own an AMG on a budget and it will become one of those cars that ends up a money pit.

Or possibly the best car they have ever owned!

Tony.
