Been a while since I last posted but still after an early 90's SL to replace my Aud cab (old Audi 80 model). I bought this last year due to budget constraints etc but now Im in a postion to go for the SL.
When i first looked and talked on this forum the opinion of those in the know was the 320 was the best engine to go for over the 24 valve 300. I under stand the 24 valve was a bit more revvy whilst the 320 was more relaxed and gave a better mpg ?
Anyway Im noticing sellers asking "good" money for the 24 valve models saying there becoming more desirable. Is there something in this or just wishful thinking by the sellers?
Any opinions welcome.

Thanks

If you are looking for an SL and don't mind a slow one (300SL 12 valve) my old one is for sale at a bargain price (by the chap who bought it from me about 4 years ago).

So cheap that I am thinking about it myself actually since it had over £14,000 worth of work done!

Be careful if you go for a 320, check the engine loom hasn't started to disintergrate. The general feeling on here is to go for the 500 if you can.
