eBay 500E

Needs a grand spending on it to bring it to A1 condition? Wonders where it should be spent, no pics of engine or interior which is a little off putting.

I'm actually looking for one of these. Not in a rush for one, but if a nice one comes along at a good price may just be tempted!

Not sure why its a limited edition though. Doesn't state what needs doing or what mileage its covered!

I think the Limited Editions where the last few made. Colour coded bottom half and different wheels?
Doesn't look that cheap for one needing a grand (usually read several grand!) spending.

Just got an email back from the seller:

"The car has some Service history but is not complete it has done 225,000 kilometers, has been well looked after has no rust and does not use any oil, and has perfect oil pressure. The interior is perfect and is light grey leather. It has all the usual extras including heated seats but does not have rear blinds. It also comes with the original wheels if required,it is 1992, they were all LHD and this is the one road tested, I have copies of the reports it is also one of only 150 made for the UK market, the £1000 would pay for 2 small, door opening type dents, no paint work required, also one chip on wheel arch, and a new reverse gear band. Dave"

That does seem a bit expensive, and a very brief description, I don't know why people don't spend a bit more time on there desciption, photos etc.
Nav have you thought about a Twin Turbo 300E? :)

If you're looking for a 'perfect' car a gentleman from the MBOC is selling his 500E - claims to be everything but Concours.

You could get a nice SL60 for that.

E60s are more common (and cheaper) in Germany.

I've been fortunate enough to drive an E60 and SL60. The E60 drives/handles alot better, alot more fun to drive.

And its the ultimate Q car, to the normal eye, looks like a normal W124 but with all that power:D

Its on my list of future cars, i will buy one, just a matter of when.
