COULD YOU GUYS PLEASE HELP ME MY 500 SEC W140 AUG 1993 L CH NO. WDB1400702A144798 NEEDS AN ECU MERC PART NUMBER 016 545 15 32 SUPERCEEDES TO 017 545 45 32 BOSCH NUMBER 0280 002 571 I AM GEETING VERY PISSED OFF NOW AS I CANT GET THIS UNIT ANY WHERE, I HAVE TRIED ECU SPECIALISTS , BREAKERS MOTOR FACTORS ETC ALL TO TO AVAIL, SPECIALISTS TELL ME THAT THE NUMBER IT SUPERCEEDS TO IS A VDO UNIT AND IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINAL... MECEDES MAIN DEALERS CANT EVEN HELP ME WITH THIS, ALL THEY CAN TELL ME IS THAT IT IS £1700 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ALL YOU WHIZZES PLEASE HELP ME OUT... IF I CANT GET THIS UNIT I MAY HAVE TO BREAK THE CAR.. A BIG SHAME.... IF ANY ONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS THEY WILL BE GREATLY REWARDED.............SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS LOCK AND SPELLING MISTAKES, I AM INTO HALF WAY INTO A BOTTLE OF JD TO DROWN MY SORROWS...

Speed auto-teille

found this on the speed auto-teille site www.speed-autoteile.com/ select the British on-line catalogue by clicking on the union jack button then select your make model year etc. For your unit it says price on application For your model they quote " bosch control unit engine management- 0 986 263 112 (Sp/Auto no) equivalent to MB Part no 017 545 45 32.
Your earlier MB part no 016 545 15 32 appears to be made by Hella-" control unit engine management (Sp/Auto no) 5da 009 174-451" I have contacted these guys by E-mail about wheels in the past, They seemed helpfull at the time

Got the ECU repaired and it goes like a rocket again now...
