ECU Problems on E50 AMG

SUCCESS AT LAST!!!!!

The ECU was at fault after all that and they are definately locked to the chassis number. Dealers could not supply a new one in the end after a long drawn out battle. Therefore the only way was to swap everything electronic on the car to another matching set.

Found a written-off E50AMG in Poland and bought the ECU, immobiliser, keys and locks off the guy over there who shipped it all over. Jordell Racing fitted it all in and it fired up first time! Thanks Sean, you are the man!!!

No, not really when you consider everything involved, I am out of pocket.

Lesson learned I think getting involved. Really I should have stayed away and let it get written off by his company insurance. I just didn't have the heart to let it go.
