EIS Circuit 15.

Hi, Would you please let me know how I can test the starter using shorting of starter relay. Shorting of 30 & 87 of the starter relay holder does nothing. Thank you

Depending on the vehicle.
There should be a large ring connector with a thick cable. This should have around 12 volts on it.
There should be a smaller blade type connector. This should have 12 volts when in the start position.
There will be another large connector which connects the solenoid to the starter body.
There may be another blade connector which presents 12 volts to the coil during the starting process to ‘boost’ the voltage at the coil.
To bypass the starting circuit link the small connector mentioned in sentence no 2 to the ring connector mentioned in sentence no1
You should also have 12 volts between the main connector (sentence1) and the body of the starter. This should fall to no less than 10 volts when the starter is energised.
BE AWARE this bypasses all safety circuits. You may have your hands, body or clothing near rotating components. The car MUST be in park. You do this at your own considerable risk.
Getting a good auto electrician to do this might be the best and safest option.
