EIS problems

Hi I have a sprinter. When I put key in sometimes it doesn’t want to turn. I take it out put it in and lights come on won’t start. I repeat this a few times then it will start. I’ve seen some videos of people taking ignition apart and fixing a connector. Would this be a fix for me? Or is there an easier way to see if it’s the key maybe
