I got my CLK back from MB Leicester today, having had rust repairs. Now I have a few things not functioning as they should:

1) The interior lights don't come on when I unlock the car, or open the doors.

2) The passenger side window doesn't drop when you open the door, but the driver's side does.

Strangely though, the windows have never functioned properly when closing using the one touch function, - they always closed and the dropped back down a couple of inches. My local dealer said it was a fault with the windows (I forget what exactly) when I had it serviced. Now today, voila, they work perfectly! :D

Is there a reset procedure to correct the faults, or do I have to go back to the dealers?

Thanks
Leigh

No 1 could be because they'll of moved the interior light switch from the middle position. (?)

With the key turned to 2 raise the window and hold the switch up for a few seconds. This is standard re set through out the range

Maybe they disconnected the battery before working on your car, which has reset everything?

It was. I am a muppet. :o

I'll try the reset for the window, thanks. I'm guessing the battery was disconnected.

I've tried the window reset. The window still doesn't drop when the door is opened, all that's changed is that now when I close the window with the one-touch, it closes then drops back down an inch or two. Damn.

Any ideas? Disconnect then reconnect the battery?

It will do this if the glass is too tight in the guide runners, try some PTFE or silicon spray at the edges of the glass and run the windows up and down a few times
