Electrics Affecting Radio

Hi guys

On my wifes C Class every time she turns on the heated seats or heated rear window in really interferes with the radio, she has a 2009 C Class 220D. Has anyone heard one any issues like this before?

Fwiw my best guess would be the alternator..

Is it the standard radio or aftermarket? Only time I had a similar issue was with a aftermarket unit,

The radio aerial is incorporated into the heated rear window. If you look carefully you can see the (I think) top two elements aren't connected the way the rest are. It/they share the same chassis connection as the HRW and even a slighlty high ressistance can cause this, as can a faulty track in the HRW. They can develop a tiny crack in an element and this may also cause interference.
