Hello folks,

First off, could a chuffing/faulty injector cause the following fault codes I'm about to list?

Fault codes present using icarsofti980

2632-8 check system charge pressure control, charge pressure is to high.

2510-1 check component Y100/1 right charge pressure positioner, positioner signal's fault.

2047-1 rail pressure monitoring via volume control valve, the rail pressure is to low.

I have had two injectors on the car removed seated and new seals replaced in the past with no EML on the dash.

Returning from a journey today the EML comes on with restricted power and once looking at the engine bay noticed a chuffing injector is at fault. None of the two previous reseated Injectors I would like to add.

Is it just a coincidence this has occured?

Looking at the engine from front of the car it's the 2nd injector from the back of the engine. It's either no2 or no5.

I hope someone can shed some more light on the fault codes I have listed. Thanks for now.

Is 230,000 miles on the original turbo a big ask🙄

Kind of thinking the worst with this now, with the reading up on the fault codes I have logged.

Drives so well this s211 320. Should say did!!!

I think it's a coincidence and not the injector?

A recon turbo isn't that costly or labour intensive, it's straight forward on the I6. I removed the turbo on my 270 at 175k miles and it was time for a change.

Isn’t the 2510 code turbo actuator ? Maybe try spray cleaning the carbon gunk out and checking the small wires that leave the pcb board inside , they can break . Hours job .
Spray clean the inside small hole of the exhaust back pressure sensor it can clog up
Maybe a can of turbo cleaner spray through the front of the turbo as well .
All free jobs for an hour and a half if you are handy at easy diy ?

I've taken the car to the Indy I use. I've asked him to take a look for me. I did intend to do the injector work myself as it doesn't seem that bad a job. The worse being keeping crap from getting into the bolt hole. The cleaning and removing process doesn't seem to bad. Plus ordering the parts. This will be the 3rd injector that has been reseated no. Only 3 more to go 😂. Half way through.

Thank you W1ghty for the advice on the turbo and the actuator cleaning methods. Much appreciated.

I'll post on any updates that arise through these fingers crossed repairs.

Thanks guys.

A little update on this thread.

Our s211 e320cdi had an eml light come on with the above codes. Turns out it was the turbo/actuator at fault. Been the original I expect 235,0000.

Cut a long short:

The turbo reconditioned units guy my Indy uses workshop had a fire or burnt down. So had to relocate. The Indy now has one in he's possession so hopefully I have the e320cdi back on the road asap. It's also due an MOT at the end of the month, wonder what that will throw up. Have really missed using it for the boys football at weekends and just general use. One of the best work horses cars money can buy. And also one of the best cars/ chassis w211 cars to be driven.

Hope to have it back very soon. 🙏

Update:

Car had a reconditioned turbo actuator, and the faulty injector reseated. All is well pulling like the om648 can 😁👍

Anyone who gets the fault codes my car threw up, it will more than likely be the turbo actuator. All good, faults sorted 👍

On to the next one.......
