Hi all, hope all well.Kindly help to identify this parts name/ number on my w204 c180 2012.like an engine block plug, looks like I have oil leak around this area. not from the top.Thank you

This is likely to be from the top corner of my lower timing chain cover when mechanic fixed it and not seal it properly.I will check it this weekend to see if I can put silicone on top there without removing the cover.Any suggestion pls of what i can use to glue it.just small leak.
If you can pick your exact car from the list on this page , then you should be able to look at the engine diagrams to identify what you are looking for .
Pick the first six numbers from your VIN to get the correct one as there are several variants of C180 on the page .

Hi all,hope good.After I checked my front of car oil leak, I think it was coming from the top section of my lower timing chain cover.I know this is a big job bcos sump need to come out and to remove and fix back lower timing chain cover.The top chain cover will come out as well and also to lower subframe. Some shop want engine out to do this job and expensive.
I have done couple of thing on this car with you guys help, and video on you tube.
Last Sunday I managed to changed my oil filter housing gasket by taking off intake manifold,starter motor and no oil leak from that area at moment.
.AmPlanning for this job as well. I want to try this job,I know I don’t need to taught the chain and tensional, but all pulleys in the lower chain cover need to come out,crank pulley as well in which I will buy special tool to remove it.I want to ask if i need to remove exhaust bolt.Kindly help with any diagram that will help in this and advise.
