Engine change

I have fitted a second hand engine to my vito w639 3.0 cdi and all is good so far. When refitting the engine i found a plug on the o/s inner wing under the coolant bottle that I can not find a home for and also a single plug near the o/s/f headlight which looks like a 12 volt feed that I also can not find a home for. Any ideas anyone? Also the van drives ok except that now the gears will not change manually but do change automatically. any help gratefully received.

Sorted the large single plug by the headlight. It is the power supply to the glow plugs so they are all working properly now. Going to do an oil and filter change on the box this week so hoping for the best.
