engine management indicator light

hi,

I'm new to this, just signed up. About a year back I bought a C180 kompressor sports coupe. I've had no problems at all. It's just had an A service and since then the engine management indicator comes on periodically.

Took it back and they reset it, came back again and took it back once more, code cleared but indicator now back yet again.

Bloke said the fault came up as fuel trim issue.

P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1)
P0173 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 2)

Don't know which one of the above it is, bloke seems out of his depth, anyone out there have any suggestions?

I would take it somewhere else.

It is quite likely that there is a split hose on the air intake hidden behind the air box. Very common issue on this engine.

thanks for getting back.

yeah won't be going back there again, used him for a while now but felt he was out of his depth with this one.

i'll be looking into the hose leading to air intake.
