engine management light???????

can anyone help.....

My cousin has a 2000 clk230 kompressor (facelift model) and the engine management light has come on to the right hand side of the cluster.........the car drives fine and there are no malfunctions on the computer.

But, after two days or so, all the electrics on the right hand side of the car stop working.....ie............mirror, window, seat adjustment, etc....

He has to disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes and then reconnects it and all is working ok, until a few days later, the right side electrics stop working?!?!?!??!

what could be causing this if no malfunctions are coming up on the on board computer?

I think you will need to get the car on diagnostics to get the codes read. This will point you towards the problem. Take to a independent with star machine or dealer and the will give you all the faults.

Has it been through the STAR diagnostics then and that's showing no faults?

i recommended that to my cousin, just thought someone on the forum might have an idea as to what it might be....

i think he is taking it to hughes in beaconsfield next week......

my cousin had it checked on the diagnostics......turned out to be the Lambda Sensor??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?:bannana: :bannana: :bannana: He has sorted it now...............
