Looking at the ECP website, there are two options for the W211 E270 Diesel engine mounts. A Lemforder one and a Q-Drive, any comments on either of these. i am new the the Benz world and just wondered about the quality of these two items and wondered why the difference in the prices.

Thanks in Advance . Mel

Haven't checked, but ECP are doing 31% off most parts until Sunday evening, so was hoping to order the parts while this offer is still on

Lemforder would be OEM parts. Stick to that and don't spoil your car with rubbish.

2yr Warranty or 31%? Who is fitting them? Your indie may only want to use genuine parts. On the ML, engine mounts were around 28+vat.

I'll fit them myself. If DRUK says Lemforder are OEM then I will go with those. I cant see MB doing the fluid mounts for that price. Were the ones on your ML fluid mounts do you know ?

The ML are not fluid mounts, if they ECP and MB were the same price where would you go?

surprised yours has fluid mounts, seeing as we both have a 270 engine.

Oh well you learn something new everyday.

Good Luck :)

I would buy them from MB if I knew the price, but the discounted price runs out at 12 tonight. When you look on the ECP website it says ' hydraulic bearing '.
They don't list an engine mount for the same MY on the ML so I am guessing they are different.

Any other comments on this gladly welcomed. If anyone has paid MB prices recently and can remember how much they were.

I just had my engine mounts done for an E55 AMG, the part is not AMG specific so will likely be used on other Mercedes models which also means no AMG TAX!

I don't have the bill with me but pretty sure they were around £80 each incl VAT

I think they are £74 plus vat each Paul.

If you know the Merc part number you can input that on the Inchcape website and it will give you the price and show discount.

Hi melhook,

I was just wondering how you got on with the ECP engine mounts?

Dokalj, I went for the Lemforder ones as at the time ECP we're offering 31% off, which brought them down to a similar price as the other brand.
Fitted them myself, but have the luxury of a ramp I can borrow. They made a difference, car seems smoother. I would also recommend doing the gearbox mount Sewell. If the engine mounts are worn, they will if in turn worn the gearbox mounts.
Any other questions please ask.

Did your engine mounts have fluid in them? I have changed mine, I have a 270 engine....just not the fluid ones....I wonder if fluid ones can be fitted....?

i believe solid rubbers are better, fluid rubbers might leak when they get worn?

can anyone confirm if w210 E55 engine mounts fits w202 C43, are they better than w202 mounts?

Solid rubber mounts go hard with age and there is a reason manufacturers fit hydraulic mounts, even though they cost more.

these fluid filled are only for comfort reasons, right?
stealership maybe only have fluid filled engine mounts and not solid rubber ones?

I like the idea my engine floats on fluid ! What refinement - excellent.
