Anyone know how much oil will be needed with filter change for a 2003 c180k? Will a fully synth 5-30 grade oil be fine? I'm sorry but I just bought the car and the manual did not come with it. Tried to look around on the site but was not able to find the answer. Thanks.

5.5 lts I think will have a look.
Just had a look in my hand book 5.5 c180k/c200k this is for a sport coupe but the same engine.
drain out and put the same amount back in.

0W-30 & 05W-30 will be ok from -25c to +30c look on the tin for MB 229.1 or 229.3 specification.(this is from my service book)229.5 is the latest spec:
I use Mobil 1( 0W-40) £23 from costco for 4.5 lts get 2 then you have to only get 1 next + you can topup if reqd:
hope this will help.
Had my car serviced at MB in 2008 on the service sheet it says 229.3 is standerd oil specification and 229.5 spec: will extend the service interval by a fator of 1.3. (Mobil 1 is 229.5 spec:)

I think 5.5L is the total capacity. Try 5L first and check the dipstick, because you'll never drain all the old oil out. Castrol recommends its 0W30 fully synth Edge; anything equivalent will be fine.

Thank you all for the help. I love this forum. :)
