055 = Year of Mod 04/2
109 = Control code marketing
666 = Packaging for shipping vehicle without tie-down hook
983 = something to do with the papers a car needs to ship with
R54 = complete alloy wheels 'brabus' monoblock IV
U18 = automatic child seat recognition (akse)
- The 055 one surprises me a bit, because 804 means MY2004 - obviously they did something extra in the middle of MY04.
- I think 983 means ship without some of the EU COC certificates as UK doesnt need it
I guess they could have re-used the code for something different and not put it in EPC yet ..
You can pay for EPC online access somewhere via www.startekinfo.com (and theres a European one somewhere hidden as-well)
Or you can have a friendly MB parts dept that lets you use the EPC at the dealership - as you may have guessed I have some very strange parts requirements when i'm working out how to retrofit something ..
Next time you are in your dealer, ask them to print of the FDOK info for your car - that has explaination of all the option codes that are on your car ..
