Hi Guys
I finally got my ML back and on the road , however the EPC light is on .
The jeep was with my mechanic getting a once over after I bought it and some how he managed to blow the engine control unit . He sourced a second hand unit from a pre facelift model . This would allow the engine to start and run in limp mode with codes relating to a fuel shut off valve .
He ended up sending away both the original blown ECU and the replacement ECU and getting the software transferred from one to the other . This has now got the jeep running , but the EPC light is light .
Ive scanned it with Auto Com , and im getting two codes ,
P1617 EEPROM
P2193 Injector classification
Can any one offer advise on what might cause the issue ?
Im thinking it might be an underling coding issue , I havnt had a chance to put it on STAR yet
