To buy a banger and wreak revenge on some of the idiots on the roads?
No need to get insurance since most of the idiots don't have it either.

:ban:

I`m with you and i`m in SE London to.

That's why God invented Land Rovers, IMO. You can even insure it and just make sure you only ever smack people who cut you up, pull out on you or otherwise break the highway code..

When your days' work is done, grab the paint brush and hammer and you're set for another day..

Yes, surprising the number of people who didn't pull out on me when I had a G-wagen.
Also interesting to see the number of drivers who failed to 'hold their own' when trying to invade my roadspace (pushing in etc).

no :D

When I had a Nissan Patrol people used to be scared of pulling out in front of it, which was useful as it couldn't stop as I'm sure Nissan saved money when building by fitting Micra brakes.

That's what the front bumper is for. I hardly had any problems with this type of thing in my SIII

I have an old Land Rover and, when driving it, I enjoy the sensation of road space not afforded to me in my Mercedes.

The space around an old Land Rover into which other cars do not encroach is technically known as "The Zone of Fear".

My old Range Rover had the same effect, gaps just miraculously used to appear as you drove along the road.

My friends used to find is amusing that things such as kerbs and verges became part of the highway when driving a large 4x4.

It's the only car I've ever owned that I truly miss.

I'm with you on that.

I had a TD5 disco with a 4" Lift, 255x85/16 tyres on Mach5 wheels in G4 orange , ARB winch bumber with Milemarker winch, rocksliders with treebar and full metal rear bumper and never had a problem with space :D:D

Whoever thought that traffic lights should have more than one lane that narrow down to one lane as soon as you're through them?

I want a car with side mounted rails that I don't care if people scrape down the sides.

Landrover with V8 and an RSJ for a bumper, heaven.

I owned this for four years, until a few months ago: 1991 V8 110. Never, ever got cut up! :p

But if I wanted stripes down the side of my car I would get some in the colour of my choice...(only w203's don't typically have go-faster stripes)

I do hope that you are not promoting some sort of anarchy within the forum??:D:ban:

I'm with you on this one. :)

Having just got back from a weekend in Milan, I think we need to drive like them with such a car:
- treat any gap anywhere as an opportunity to overtake or undertake someone
- when you come to the lights go straight past on either side, then move over in front of the car at the front
- don't bother signalling, just drift to where you want to go
- speed limits are the minimum speeds you must do
- when parking make a space big enough by bumping the cars on either side further away
- if someone beeps at you during any of the above ignore but if you see someone else doing it you're allowed to beep at them

All of this i'd seen within 1 hour of arriving at 9.30pm on a Friday night. :D Brilliant, although I wan't driving...

Worked out that clean Land Cruiser = some but not much bad behaviour from other drivers but muddy Land Cruiser = none at all.:thumb:

Thus I no longer clean it.

:D Was hilarious when our taxi driver did this coming from the airport in Rome when turning right - straight to the front.

And going across a big square where it was everyone just approaching from whatever direction, converging on the middle, weeding their way through and out the other side, he spent more time beeping at the ladies than looking where he was going.
