Finally bought myself a blue-tooth hands free gadget :rock:
after doing my homework i decided to get the ''PAMA ALPHA PNGMIRROR'' and i must say its great, sound is crystal quality, plays the ringtones you have installed on your phone, you can even play your music files through it, standby 250hrs!, upload your phones contacts list by inserting your sim card and copy. I was skeptical about these things but this one is truly great does what it says on the box.

So go on - how much? And what's the mic quality like?

I have the Tom Tom 500 and the bluetooth on that's great but I don't always want the Tom Tom on. I actually know my way to and from work by now:o :D and while the txt message function is great and phone book import etc all works well, the audio from my end seems pretty good but the mic and then transfer to the person I'm calling seems poor. So a quality alternative at a reasonable price would be very welcome.

Hi pammy,

The sound + Mic are excellent, i really didn't think these things actually work well but i must say it surprised me especially for £70 delivered next day.

Yup ck3100 here too - for thos that dont have comand you can get a gps unit too - bluetooth to pda etc..
 
Parrot are very good, but i do not want to take the interior apart, also they use the top dash speaker for the sound....ur i don't think so! :eek:

Errrrrrrr ummmmmmmm NO Im quite definitley sure mine uses ALL speakers!!
 
Well thats what the installer told me 2mths ago!
 
the parrot 3200/3400 looks great and does everything i want only thing holding me back is, will the theif think it is a sat nav system and break into car? as the parrot looks like a sat nav system

That's a good point!! My ex had his car broken into last week by some git looking for his Tom Tom Go it wasn't in the car - but they saw the window mount:rolleyes: :( I'd be wary about anything that looked like an attraction for tea leaves.
 
I have mine in the ashtray!

I close my ashtray and you cant see it, Ill try and get a photo if I can, make the car look very neat.

They've also said (people in the know not the thieves themselves) that if a mark for where the TomTom was can be seen, there's a risk they'll break in. My brother has a TomTom and I borrow it sometimes, but now I wipe down the windscreen to be on the safe side.

what a sad country we live in :mad: , thats why i paid more to have the aps30 as that looks standard fit, knowing the sat nav bit is nowhere near as good as tom tom
on my scenic i fiited a pioneer p75bt and thats a stereo with hand free built in and it works a treat with a great sounding stereo. that got face off so it a bit safer,

My lives in the ashtray as well totally hidden along with the smart nav button.
