C220d. W205. 60k miles.
On a winter morning as I started her up I heard cracking noises from the headlights. I was outside shovelling snow off the driveway.
Since then, there have been beads of water inside both lights. Condensation does not clear with hours of driving and lights on.
It took a while to get an appointment.
The dealership refused it as warranty claim.
I am informed that goodwill is unlikely too.

Is there an aftermarket manufacturer of these fancy multi-beam lights please?
It is £1,672 per light otherwise. Add £600 if modules have gone.
Although I have maintained her at cost no object for some reason this is a little hard to stomach.

Anything else I can do to sway the dealer? I wish there was some bulletin stating a known fault.

Thank you.

Drop some of those desiccant bags in the back of the lights.
Did that. Dried it out. Obviously would rather avoid having to do that every week but will of course monitor it.

My concern is that rust never sleeps. The light stopped working until it was dried out. Those controllers behind are £500-600.

There is a re-seal kit I found online. I might try that and save the money for the controllers.

Thank you for your response.

PS. I have taken it up with Mercedes UK as I think seals going bad at this age and mileage despite upkeep, points towards poor quality seal. Live in hope!
