Hi can someone help changed the exhaust pressure sensor and pipe on my w176 merc 2014 but engine like keeps coming on saying senor problem changed twice

Have you checked the wiring?

Did you use a genuine Renault senor or MB one?

You may need some software too.

Wiring checked senor was aftermarket part had the pipe changed also but engine light saying senor that's twice in 2 months I think I'll get mb senor

I have a similar issue, i just changed the ebps (exhaust back pressure sensor) with a febi one but my problem is the ebps pressure rises to 2bar after turning the car off and it logs a fault " p047128 - ebps 1 has a malfunction - the signal offset is outside the permissable range".

Not sure what the problem is. Anyone else had this issue?

What engine isit buddy . 2.1 cdi om651?

Ok so i fitted a new exhaust back pressure sensor (EBPS) but the engine is still throwing this fault p047128. If i drive it after clearing the fault the sensor readings are perfect and csr is back to 100% but when the engine is turned off, after exactly 1minute the EBPS jumps to 2bar and the fault returns and car is back to limpmode.

I have tried 3 sensors, all doing the same thing.

All dpf readings and pressures are fine, car drives perfect until the car is turned off .

Fixed it after lots of testing!

What did you do to fix it?

Basically you remove the white rubber sealing ring using a sharp pick from the inside of the plug..it then clicks perfectly and runs fine. Been fine since!
