Guys, done a search but found nothing on exhaust tips. Anyone know where I can get chrome tips for a 1999 C280?

Thanks.

Don't know - but I think this probably belongs in the bodywork section !! (moved!)

I would also be interested in some of these. The "straight" type will be no good, as the tips of the exhaust pipes point down on our cars, so it needs to be something that curves back up and exits straight out.

I know that for the W211, RichardM has fitted some which bolt onto the downpipes, and exit straight back - but don't actually route the exhaust gas through ! Wonder if there's something similar for the W202, and what it would look like ?

I dont think there will be any tips available for the W202 cus of the shape of the pipe,I did look into this once and couldnt find anything so decided to look down the custom fabrication route.Ie cut the back box off in the oppropiate position then cut old tips off and reweld new chrome tips into place,Then make a sleeve to rejoin exhaust together.Outcome was to hell with that idea! far too time consuming,so god only knows what a garage would charge in labour. Then go out and buy a Remus back box, much easier.Or buy the AMG box on ebay. ;)

Pluggers, I like the AMG back box but not sure if it would be a direct bolt on and without any bumper cutting required.

The tips look either pitted or dirty to me. What do you think?

I'd say it was a terrible picture, and they were just dirty

The C36 back box is an easy enough swap - I believe Nick (Shude) had this on his old car. No bumper mods needed.
